Probe after body found on hillside

POLICE were today probing the "unexplained" death of a man whose body was found near the summit of Arthur's Seat.

The body of the man, thought to be in his 40s, was spotted by a member of the public shortly before 10pm on Sunday.

Rescue teams were unable to recover the body from the hill's secluded Dry Dam section until around 2.30pm yesterday.

A postmortem was due to be carried out today in a bid to determine the cause of death.
