Private donor plays his part

AN ICELANDIC museum which exhibits penises has unveiled its first human specimen after a 95-year-old donor died.

The Phallological Museum in the town of Husavik was gifted the penis by tourism worker Pall Arason. It will now go on display with phalluses from whales, seals, bears and other mammals.

Curator Sigurdur Hjartarson said three men had gifted their penises to the collection, including a Briton and an American, but Mr Arason was the first to die. "I have just been waiting for this guy for 15 years," he said.

Mr Arason died on 5 January in the nearby town of Akureyri. His penis was officially unveiled in a ceremony last week.
