Princess Anne to rededicate Earl Haig monument

Princess Anne will unveil the Earl Haig Monument at its new home at Hospital Square in Edinburgh Castle.

HRH The Princess Royal will be received at Wednesday's ceremony by the governor of Edinburgh Castle, Major General David Shaw, and Lord Provost George Grubb at 12.45pm to mark the rededication cememony of the statue honouring the First World War general.

The move is part of the Tattoo's new 16 million arena project, which is scheduled for delivery in August. Tattoo managing director Richard Hambleton said: "We are delighted that The Princess Royal has so kindly agreed to attend this important ceremony."
