THE Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were attacked by protesters tonight as tuition fees demos descended into violence.

Charles and Camilla were unharmed after their limousine was struck and daubed in paint as they made their way to the Royal Variety Performance in central London.
Police said 38 protesters and ten officers had been injured in the disturbances.
