Primary pupils win film award

AN ANIMATED film made by 66 primary school pupils from Fife has won a prestigious UK film award.

Granny Mac’s Meringues, a claymation film which was created over two months by pupils at Burntisland Primary, won the award for Best Film in the under-12 category at an award ceremony at the First Light Awards in London yesterday.

Pupils at Cardinal Newman High School in Bellshill won the prize for Best Film Club.
