Pretty in pink as Scottish colourist work up for sale

BONHAMS picture specialist Colleen Bowen shows off an early work by the Scottish colourist Francis Cadell which is expected to fetch up to £80,000 when it goes under the hammer.

The Pink Robe, which dates from 1909, is expected to sell for between 60,000 to 80,000 at an auction of Scottish art being held at Bonhams Edinburgh salesroom on Thursday.

A later work by Cadell, Iona looking to the Dutchman's Cap, has attracted a pre-sale estimate of 40,000 to 60,000.
