Prestonpans man charged over cannabis find

A MAN has been charged with drugs offences after police uncovered a cannabis farm.

Officers working as part of the Operation Ergot crackdown carried out a search of a property in Middleshot Square, Prestonpans.

The drugs recovered were worth around £8500 and the man, 51, will appear in court at a later date.

Sergeant Derek MacDonald said: “We have once again acted upon the information from the public and have successfully recovered cannabis before it could be distributed within our communities.”
