Prestonpans blaze leaves flat damaged

A FLAT was left badly damaged after a fire ripped through the property.

Around 15 firefighters were called to the ground-floor flat, at McLeod Crescent, Prestonpans, at 3am this morning.

Residents escaped the property before Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service arrived to find a well-alight flat. It was left very badly smoke damaged.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
