Power cut hits nursery

A GROUP of nursery children had to be sent home after a power cut in East Lothian.

Haddington Infant School re-opened today following the electricity failure yesterday, which also affected around 40 properties in the area. A text message was sent to parents by the headteacher yesterday afternoon advising them their children should attend school today.

A ScottishPower spokesman said the problem had been caused by a faulty cable. He added: “ScottishPower would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.”
