Power to 100 Muirhouse homes cut

MORE than 100 homes in Muirhouse were left without electricity after a workman cut power lines while laying pipes.

A Scottish Gas workman severed the power line at around 10am yesterday while working in Muirhouse Green.

Engineers from Scottish Power were dispatched to the scene and had to turn off power to 109 homes while repair work was carried out.

Power was expected to be re-connected in the area by yesterday afternoon.
