Potter star sees charity's magic

AWARD-winning actress Shirley Henderson is lending her support to children's charity Barnardo's.

The Fife-born Harry Potter star visited the charity's Caern project in Edinburgh to meet the staff and children who use the service. The project offers residential short break services to young people with disabilities, aged five to 18, living in Edinburgh.

Shirley said: "Visiting Caern, meeting the staff and children was an invaluable experience which helped me gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and complex issues which children and young people with disabilities face in their everyday lives."
