Pothole driver sues the NHS

A DRIVER who suffered whiplash when his car hit a hospital road pothole is among those chasing NHS Lothian for compensation.

The wheels of his vehicle dropped down the gap in the road, hurting his neck, and he successfully sued the health board for 1500.

Five other compensation cases are ongoing locally, including the family of a person who was run over on hospital grounds in 2009.

Someone struck on the head by a car park barrier and a man who fell into an unsecured trap door are in the middle of financial action. Another who slipped on ice was unsuccessful.
