Potato skins could wrap crisps, says manufacturer

Recycled potato peelings could be used to create crisp packets within 18 months, the UK's largest crisp maker says.

Richard Evans, president of PepsiCo UK and Ireland, which owns Walkers, said it is looking at ways of making environmentally friendly packets possibly using the skins.

Walkers makes ten million bags of crisps a day and is worth around 436 million.
