Porridge's peak performance

SCOTLAND'S traditional breakfast will reach new heights next week.

The Ptarmigan Restaurant at the top of CairnGorm Mountain's funicular railway will host the UK's Highest Porridge Breakfast on Wednesday in aid of the charity Mary's Meals. It is among a series of events being held across the UK and in India, Africa, Norway, Sweden, Canada and the US, during the countdown to World Porridge Day, to raise money for the charity.

Mary's Meals started from a tin shed in Argyllshire and now daily feeds more than 400,000 of the poorest and neediest children in 15 countries.
