Pool revamp causes splash for swimmers

SWIMMERS from Warrender Baths Club created a splash at the reopening of a historic Victorian pool following a £5.7 million refurbishment.

Glenogle Swim Centre in Stockbridge opens it doors to the public today after a two-year revamp – the biggest upgrade in its 100-year history.

The refurbishment has included a new sauna and steam room area to the rear, as well as an upgraded gym and fitness centre.

A new glass roof provides natural light, while solar panels have been added to provide the majority of the energy to heat the pool.
