Pool reopens to public

NEWBATTLE Swimming Pool was due to re-open to the public today, after vital repairs following an incident where a light fitting fell from the ceiling earlier in this month, causing no injuries.

Midlothian Council's cabinet member for education and communities, Cllr Peter Boyes, said: "I'm pleased to hear that maintenance work is now complete."
