Video: crowds gather in Glasgow’s George Square

Glasgow’s George Square again became a focal point for the Scottish independence referendum today as campaigners gathered on polling day.

It was the third day in a row that the city centre Square witnessed gatherings of mostly Yes supporters.

The crowds of Yes and No voters have been mostly peaceful so far today however there have been reports on Twitter of minor skirmishes between both sides.

@quinnnorton tweeted: “Caught up in an unexpectantly ugly scene in George Square with Yes voters shouting at a small No group, and small fighting.”
