Travel firm leads the way on apprenticeship scheme
Angela Constance made the call during a visit to Barrhead Travel after the firm announced plans to engage 50 apprentices at branches across the country earlier this year .
Ms Constance said such investment is “the right thing to do” in difficult economic times and “the smart thing to do” to grow businesses.

Hide AdApprentices will get on-the-job training, travel expenses and staff benefits as they work towards an industry-recognised NVQ qualification in travel and tourism.
Ms Constance said: “This is absolutely the right thing to do in these difficult economic times and also the smart thing to do for business growth. I hope that the commitment shown by the company will encourage others to support our young people.”
