Tories get on Darling's case over Budget

SCOTTISH Tories dressed three volunteers in pin-stripes and Alistair Darling masks in Edinburgh today ahead of the Chancellor's last Budget before the general election.

Shadow Scottish Secretary David Mundell said: "This is not the real Budget. Whoever wins the general election, the real Budget will come after polling day."

The SNP said ahead of the Budget it wanted the Chancellor to announce fresh accelerated spending for Scotland, allowing Holyrood to bring forward some of its capital projects to help boost the recovery.
