Scottish independence: Live blog

THE SCOTSMAN will be running a live blog to cover the referendum on Scottish independence, with news, pictures, tweets and much more from around Scotland and further afield as the country goes to the polls.

Our political reporters will be providing coverage from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen along with news, video and reaction from Ingliston as the ballot papers are counted late on Thursday night and into the wee small hours of Friday.
