Monthly polls will be published under the partnership ahead of the Holyrood election scheduled for May 6.

On Thursday we launch the first results in the series, which will put questions to Scottish voters around a range of topics, including independence, education, coronavirus and the Alex Salmond inquiry.

The Scotsman will publish these poll results exclusively at www.scotsman.com from 7am.

The survey will give a unique insight into the views and intentions of Scottish voters leading into one of the most important elections in the nation’s history.

Poll results have been produced by interviewing 1,013 Scottish adults aged 16 or over online between the dates of December 11 and 15.

The Scotsman is pleased to be working with Savanta ComRes – one of the UK’s leading research consultancies, specialising in corporate reputation, public policy and communications.
