Sarah Boyack urges extension to boiler scheme

EDINBURGH Central Labour MSP Sarah Boyack has called on the SNP to extend a boiler scrappage scheme that closed after one day.

Thousands of people snapped up 400 cashback vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis on Monday. By the next day, all the vouchers had been allocated.

Ms Boyack, environment spokeswoman, said: "Given the massive response, surely this is the sort of scheme the Scottish Government should be supporting."
