Heughan, who is currently starring in the second series of Outlander said: “Looks like Scotland wants to remain and rest UK wants to go.... Time for another independence referendum?.”

When he was quizzed further by SNP MP John Nicolson ans asked for his thoughts on the matter, the actor replied: “absolutely”.
