Rob Ford, former mayor of Toronto, dies of cancer


CONTROVERSIAL former mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, has died of cancer, at the age of 46.
Ford served one term as mayor of the Canadian city from 2010 to 2014.
He made headlines around the world after being caught on camera three years ago smoking crack cocaine.
He later entered rehab in 2014 to combat his addictions.

Hide AdFord ran for re-election as mayor but dropped out of the running shortly after he was diagnosed with rare cancer pleomorphic liposarcoma.
The politician is survived by his wife Renata and their two children, Stephanie and Douglas.
