TODAY’S MAIN NEWS:

Undecided voters are more likely to vote Yes than No in September’s referendum, but in insufficient numbers for a victory for pro-independence campaigners - that’s the main finding from analysis of the results of the British Election Survey in March and June.

Around 150,000 people in Scotland who currently receive the minimum wage could see their pay increase if there is a Yes vote in September’s referendum, according to the SNP. The party is proposing a commission on the issue in the event of independence.

The new UK science minister Greg Clark has warned that a vote for Scottish independence is a vote to leave funding bodies and research councils, in one of his first speeches since taking over in David Cameron’s recent cabinet reshuffle.
