Paddy Power welcomes Trump to Scotland with Mexican band

PADDY Power's latest stunt has seen them welcoming Donald Trump to Scotland by serenading him with music from their very own Mexican Mariachi band.

The band, aptly named Juan Direction, greeted the American presidential candidate’s executive airliner as it touched down at Glasgow’s Prestwick Airport.

The betting giants posted a picture of the band holding a wheelbarrow full of bricks on their Twitter page, poking fun at Trump’s controversial comments about the Mexican people, and his supposed plans to build wall along their border.

The bookmakers, who are famous for their marketing stunts, wrote on their site’s blog: “Given his controversial election promises, including building a wall along the Mexican border, we wanted to give him a special, Paddy Power welcome. So, obviously, we snuck a Mexican Mariachi band, Juan Direction, into Glasgow Prestwick airport to greet the billionaire as he landed on the runway.”

Trump was in Scotland visiting his golf resort in Turnberry, where he was greeted by hundreds of protesters, including comedian Lee Nelson, who was later thrown out of the press conference for handing out golf balls emblazoned with swastikas.
