New Scots Coronavirus cases down by two-thirds

The number of new Coronavirus cases in Scotland has fallen by two-thirds, the latest daily statistics show.

And there have been no deaths recorded over the past 24 hours, according the statistics published by the Scottish Government.

There were just seven new cases recorded in the figures released today – this compares with 23 yesterday which had marked the highest number of new cases in a month.

There were also ten Scots patients in intensive care last night, three of whom had tested positive for the virus, with a further seven suspected cases.

A total of 299 people were in hospital who have tested positive for the virus.
