MP Stewart Hosie recovering after ‘mini-stroke’

A SENIOR Nationalist MP is recovering in hospital after suffering a “mini-stroke” it was confirmed today.

Dundee East MP Stewart Hosie, the party’s Treasury spokesman at Westminister, has been in Ninewells Hospital in Dundee since Monday after suffering a transient ischaemic attack (TIA) or ‘mini-stroke’, a party spokesman said.

Mr Hosie said: “I am delighted with the high level of professional care I have been receiving, and would like to say thank you to all the staff at Ninewells Hospital.”

Mr Hosie is married to Scottish Government public health minister Shona Robison, the MSP for Dundee East.

An SNP spokesman said: “Stewart Hosie had a mini-stroke on Monday afternoon - he is expected to make a complete recovery, and is hoping to leave hospital very soon.”
