Grieving gran in troops call

A WOMAN whose grandson died in Afghanistan will join Scottish Socialist Party leader Colin Fox on the platform at a public meeting in Oxgangs this week, calling for British troops in the region to come home.

Joan Humphreys will speak on behalf of Military Families Against the War. Her grandson Kevin Elliot was killed in Helmand Province while serving with the Black Watch regiment.

The meeting is at the Pentlands Community Centre, Oxgangs Brae on Thursday at 7:30pm.
