Gilmore backs party hopeful
Edinburgh East Labour MP Sheila Gilmore has backed Ken Macintosh in Labour’s contest for a new Scottish party leader.
She said she was supporting the Eastwood MSP despite nominating rival Tom Harris for the post.
Ms Gilmore said: “I nominated Tom Harris because I wanted a wide field to contest the leadership but Ken has shown over the course of the campaign that he is the candidate with the broadest appeal.”
Voting closes tomorrow.
