BBC Debate Night searches for local audiences in Edinburgh and across Scotland

BBC Debate Night is back for more shows, including one in Edinburgh next week, and the team is looking for local people to join the online audience.
The next BBC Scotland Debate Night, hosted by Stephen Jardine, will be on March 17 at 10.30pm where a local virtual audience from the Western Isles and North Highlands will quiz a panel of politicians and public figures about the big issues in Scotland and beyond.

BBC Scotland’s topical discussion programme is on a virtual tour to give the people of Scotland the opportunity to have their say in issues of current affairs.

Hosted by Stephen Jardine, the show on Wednesday March 24 is open to applications for audience participants from members of the public in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Those who are selected for the audience will have the chance to put questions and concerns to Scotland’s politicians and decision-makers.

The next BBC Debate Night will be tomorrow, March 17 at 10.30pm where a local virtual audience from the Western Isles and North Highlands will quiz a panel of politicians and public figures about the big issues in Scotland and beyond.

Upcoming Debate Nights include Aberdeen on March 31, all of Scotland on April 14, The Borders on April 21 and Glasgow on April 28.

A spokesperson from The Debate Night Team said: “Whether you’re home-schooling, managing a business, caring for loved ones, or your life has simply been turned upside down by Coronavirus, as a Debate Night audience member it is YOUR questions which lead the discussion and the stories, experiences and opinions that you share with us that matter most.”
