Arlene Foster: Northern Ireland's First Minister announces resignation

Arlene Foster has announced her resignation as leader of the Democratic Unionist Party and Northern Ireland’s First Minister after an internal revolt

Ms Foster said she would step down as DUP leader on May 28 and as First Minister at the end of June.

The news comes as she was facing a revolt from representatives within her party.
