Alex Salmond court case LIVE: Former first minister pleads not guilty to all charges
The former First Minister Alex Salmond, has appeared in the High Court in Edinburgh, and pled not guilty to a string of sexual assault claims, including attempted rape, against ten women.
On the first day of his trial, which is expected to last for four weeks, Mr Salmond listened carefully as the 14 charges were read out.

Hide AdIn lodging notice of Mr Salmond’s defence, Gordon Jackson QC, said he was not guilty, and said that in four of the charges the former leader of the SNP believed there was consent, while in another there was a defence of alibi.
