Politicians host funding advice surgeries

TWO MSPs are hosting a special event today to help voluntary and community groups across the city to find out about funding opportunities.

The Funding Advice Surgery, organised by Labour's Sarah Boyack and Malcolm Chisholm, will bring together representatives of some of the UK's biggest funding organisations and a number of local groups and organisations.

It takes place at St George's West Church, Shandwick Place, from 3-5pm and 6-8pm.

Ms Boyack said: "In the current economic climate, people require the services offered by the voluntary sector more than ever, so it is vital that these organisations identify funding opportunities to keep them going."
