Polish anger over secret CIA 'prison'

A HUMAN rights group said yesterday that the United States has refused to assist Polish prosecutors investigating whether or not the CIA maintained a secret prison in Poland.

The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights posted a letter from prosecutors on its website saying that in October this year, the US Justice Department refused to provide legal assistance to Poland investigators, citing a bilateral agreement that both countries have signed on the protection of state interests.
