Police tackle footie teens

POLICE officers are trying to build better relationships with local youths by taking part in five-a-side football matches.

Officers played boys aged 14-16 from the Knightsridge Adventure Project, better known as the Vennie, at Craigswood Sports Centre in Livingston on Friday.

Knightsridge community officer PC John Gray said: "Events like this are a good way of getting to know the youngsters, and improve relations between ourselves and the community. It may well become a more regular fixture."
