Police station toughens up

A POLICE station damaged in a vandal attack is set to have toughened glass windows installed.

The windows at Dunbar police station were smashed in the attack last March, with the damages bill hitting 1500.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Police chiefs have now applied for planning permission to install the safety glass at the station. The windows will also feature heat retention glass to help reduce utility bills.
