Police seize £280,000 drugs haul from Bathgate property

POLICE have charged a man after uncovering a haul of 95 kilos of drugs with a street value of £280,000.

Lothian and Borders say a vehicle was stopped on the M74 just north of Abington Service Station, at around 4.15pm yesterday.

Inside the vehicle they found 95 kilos of cannabis resin.

A further kilo of white powder was found at an address in Bathgate, West Lothian, and has been sent away for further analysis.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to the seizure.
