Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Johnstone said: "Tackling drugs and serious organised crime is a very high priority for Fife Constabulary.

"The discovery of this substantial amount of class A, B and C drugs will have caused significant disruption to such organised criminal activities within Fife.

"This action makes it clear to drug dealers and others involved in this type of criminality that Fife Constabulary is committed to using all available resources to target, disrupt and detect those determined to cause significant harm within our communities.

"The availability of drugs and drug dealing on our streets can seriously affect the quality of life in our communities as it is often accompanied by violence and intimidation.

"The positive action taken by the Force's Drugs Squad supported by local officers has gone a long way to removing a substantial amount of illegal substances to help the force continue in Creating Safer Communities.

"I would like to express my thanks to the public for all information that is shared with us that allows Fife Constabulary to take such positive action."
