Mr Wright had a number of criminal connections and was described as "no angel" by police. However, they said he was also a "dedicated family man".

Strathclyde Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

Detective Superintendent John McSporran said: "The public response so far has been disappointing, but I hope that this operation will rectify this."
