Police retrace steps in search for missing mother of three

TAYSIDE Police will tonight retrace the steps of a missing mother of three in the hope of a breakthrough in the investigation into her disappearance.

Exactly two weeks after Mary McLaren was last seen alive, officers will film a detailed reconstruction of her last-known movements in Dundee city centre.

Two female officers will play the roles of the missing housewife and her sister, Michelle Rodger, while a male officer will dress in clothes similar to those worn by the man who left Fat Sam's nightclub with Mrs McLaren in the early hours of Thursday, 25 February.

The man, who was photographed dancing in the arms of Mrs McLaren in the club on the night she disappeared, has already been identified and has been "assisting" Tayside detectives with their inquiries.

Mrs McLaren, 34, of Rowantree Crescent, Dundee, has not been seen since she was spotted walking with the man she met in the club in the city's Marketgait East at about 3am on the Thursday.
