Police receive 900 FoI calls

MORE than 900 Freedom of Information requests were submitted to Lothian and Borders Police during the last year, with seven per cent failing to be answered in time.

A total of 901 requests were sent to the force between last April and March, a slight rise on the previous year when 886 were submitted.

Some 65 inquiries were answered after the 20-day deadline for a response, although the force said they were “mostly only a few days late”.
