Police re-appeal for missing Cambuslang teen, 16 year old Kai Rae, who is believed to be in London

Police in Lanarkshire are re-appealing for help in tracing teenager Kai Rae aged 16 who was reported missing from the Cambuslang area on Monday November 23 after boarding a train to London.

Following CCTV enquiries, officers have established that Kai travelled to Edinburgh Waverley Station last Monday where he then took a train to London.

Police Scotland has reported that it is ‘extremely unusual’ for Kai not to be in contact with his family and they are ‘extremely worried.’

He was spotted leaving King's Cross Station around 10.10pm that evening and got into a taxi at one of the station's taxi ranks.

CCTV images show him wearing a black hoodie with 'GAP' outlined in white letters on the front, dark blue jeans and dark trainers.

He was also wearing a black mask, a back pack and carrying a dark blue GAP paper bag.

Inspector Stephen McManus said: "We have a number of resources dedicated to the search for Kai and are working with our colleagues at the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police as part of our enquiries.

"Kai has been missing for over a week now. It is extremely unusual for him not to be in contact with his family and they are understandably extremely worried.

"If Kai sees this appeal, I would ask him to please contact family, friends or police to let us know that he is safe."

Kai is described as white, 5 ft 6 ins tall, slim build with short brown hair.

Anyone who may have seen Kai or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1144 of 23 November.
