Police probe sheep death

POLICE investigating how a dead sheep came to be dumped on a busy main road in Muirhouse have revealed that the animal died of “natural causes”.

The mystery discovery of the sheep was made on Sunday evening in Pennywell Road, with the animal lying belly-up in the centre of a zebra crossing in Pennywell Road, outside Muirhouse Shopping Centre.

A spokesperson confirmed yesterday that there was nothing to suggest the sheep had been killed deliberately. And although a man was helping police with their inquiries, no arrests have yet been made.
