Police probe assault at Haymarket

Police investigating an assault at Haymarket train station want to trace two men in their 20s.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers have released images of the men as part of their inquiry into an incident on Saturday February 7.

Two men aged 51 and 35 were assaulted at the station shortly after 7.10pm.

The men are described as white and around 5ft 8in. One has short brown hair and wore a bright blue jacket and jeans.

The second has cropped dark hair and wore a navy blue jacket and dark blue jeans.

Constable Fiona MacAulay said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the men in the photographs to contact me as a matter of urgency.”
