Police plea after failed mugging

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 59-year-old woman was punched in the face as she tried to stop a youth stealing her handbag in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh.

A man and woman came to her aid, and the suspect ran off empty-handed on Saturday at 10:30pm.
