Police name motorist killed in Edinburgh road crash

A MAN killed in a crash in the Capital has been named.

Billy Casement, 30, from Brand Gardens, Portobello died in a three vehicle collision in Maybury Road on Wednesday night.

Police said he died as a result of the injuries he sustained when the Subaru in which he was a passenger was involved in a collision with a Renault Clio and a Peugeot van.

The road was closed for around five hours while officers carried out an investigation at the scene.

Police are still appealing for witnesses and anyone who saw the accident, or any of the vehicles involved prior to it, to contact them.
