A spokesman for Northern Constabulary said: "A full road collision investigation has been carried out by the force's road policing unit and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."

Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service sent two engines to the scene and used a winch to pull the car from the water.
