Police name driver killed in A93 crash

The name of a young male motorist who died in a three-car smash in rural Perthshire has been released by police.

Scott McIntosh, 26, was driving a van on the A93 Spittal of Glenshee road near Blairgowrie, Perthshire, when it collided with a lorry and another van just before 1pm yesterday.

Mr McIntosh, of David Street, Blairgowrie, was airlifted to Dundee's Ninewells Hospital, where he later died. No-one else was injured.

The road was closed and diversions were put in place while crash investigators examined the scene.

Tayside Police said their inquiries are continuing and appealed for information from anyone who witnessed the collision.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
