Police name car park crash victim

POLICE have named a pedestrian who died after she was hit by a 4x4 vehicle in a car park.

Jean Bridgeford, 54, from Portmahomack, was struck by a black Land Rover Freelander in the Cromartie car park in Dingwall in the Highlands yesterday at about 1pm.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said she died at the scene.
